Greetings from SCSSSD's Shared Services Business Office!

Special Services' Business Office is just as unique as the district itself. With a staff of eleven, business services are provided to eight local school districts in six counties. These districts include:

SCSSSD, Salem County
Avalon School District, Cape May County
Stone Harbor School District, Cape May County
Magnolia School District, Camden County
Galloway Community Charter School, Atlantic County
Newfield School District, Gloucester County
Deerfield Twp. School District, Cumberland County
What are some of the duties that Special Services' Business Office employees perform for these contracted districts? Business office responsibilities include: district purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, yearly district budget, payroll, maintenance, custodial, transportation, food service, construction/renovation oversight, negotiations, grant management, insurance, audit, cash management, board elections, and Board minutes and agendas. Each district receives the services of one Business Administrator/Board Secretary and a clerk/business office assistant as well as the expertise of a centralized payroll clerk.   

These services could not be continuously provided to our eight districts without the hard work and dedication of Special Services Shared Services Business Office staff. Overseen by SCSSSD Business Administrator Melanie Allen, the business office staff includes Joan Ayars, Diana Bartholomew, Jennifer Corley, Linda Fiori, Diane Johnson, Sandy Kasprzak, Sharon Motil, Lois Scarpa, and Greg Wilson.
